In a major setback to the CPI (Maoist), its last remaining fortress has collapsed following the surrender of PLGA Battalion Commander Badse Sukka @ Deva (DK SZCM). Simultaneously, the Telangana State Committee (TSC) of the organization has been pushed to the brink of collapse, with only one SCM remaining, following the surrender of Kankanala Raji Reddy @ Venkatesh (SCM) today.

This surrender sounds the death knell of the PLGA and the Telangana State Committee of the CPI (Maoist) party. The surrendered cadres walked out with the arms dumps of the PLGA, including those associated with Hiduma and Badse Deva.

In total, forty-eight (48) weapons were surrendered, comprising:

Two (02) LMGs

One (01) US-made Colt rifle

One (01) Israel-made Tavor rifle

Eight (08) AK-47 rifles

Ten (10) INSAS rifles

Eight (08) SLR rifles

Four (04) BGLs

Eleven (11) single-shot weapons

Two (02) grenades

One (01) air gun

Along with 2,206 rounds of ammunition of various calibers.
